Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain terms, what QR Free does and does not do with the information you type into its QR code generator. The short version: every QR code, including any logo image you upload, is built entirely in your own browser. Nothing you type or upload is ever sent to a server, and the only data this site collects is anonymous and does not identify you.
What the QR code generator does with your input
The tool on this site (the main QR code generator, the custom/logo generator, the business-card generator, and the PDF-link generator all use the same underlying code) builds every QR code as JavaScript running in your own browser. When you type a URL, plain text, WiFi network name and password, contact details, email, phone number, or text message, that content is turned into a QR code pattern immediately by code running on your device. None of it is transmitted to this site's servers, logged, or stored anywhere outside your browser.
If you upload a logo image, that file is read directly by your browser (using the standard FileReader API) and drawn into the center of the QR code locally. The image file itself is never uploaded to any server.
Your field values are saved to your browser's local storage so the form is still filled in if you refresh the page or come back later. Local storage is a standard browser feature, similar to a cookie but never sent over the network with any request; it stays on your device until you clear it, either through your browser's settings or the Reset button on the tool, which clears the saved values immediately.
Downloaded QR codes
When you click Download PNG or Download SVG, the image file is generated and handed to your browser's normal file-download mechanism entirely on your device. No copy of the generated QR code, and nothing used to build it (the WiFi password, contact details, or any other field content), is kept on this site's servers at any point, because those servers are never involved in generating or storing the code in the first place.
The feedback button
Each tool page has a small "was this tool helpful" feedback control. Clicking a thumbs-up or thumbs-down sends a single anonymous signal to this site's server: which page you rated, and whether you clicked up or down. Nothing you typed into the QR code fields, and no uploaded logo, is included in that signal, and no cookie, IP address, or device fingerprint is stored alongside it. A flag is saved in your browser's local storage afterward so you are not asked to vote again on a later visit; that flag never leaves your device.
If you use the "Give feedback" link instead, it opens a small text form (or your own email application, as a fallback) so you can describe what was missing. Anything you choose to write and send is sent anonymously, without your email address, IP address, or any account identifier attached.
Analytics and advertising
If this site uses a web analytics service, it is a privacy-focused, cookieless option that reports only aggregate figures such as total visits, popular pages, and country-level location: it does not track individuals across visits or across other websites, and does not use cookies to do so. If this site displays advertising, the advertising network may use its own cookies or similar technology, governed by that network's own privacy policy rather than this one; this site does not share anything you type into the QR code generator with any advertiser under any circumstances, because that content never reaches this site's server in the first place.
What this site does not do
This site does not require an account, a sign-up, or a login for any content type, color, logo, or download format. It does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information to use any tool. It does not sell data, because it does not collect the kind of data that would be sellable in the first place: the URLs, WiFi passwords, contact details, and logo images you enter or upload stay in your browser, not on a server.

- No QR code content (URL, text, WiFi password, contact details, email, phone number) is ever sent to a server
- No uploaded logo image is ever sent to a server
- No personal information is requested to use the site
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the tool does not ask for a name, email address, or any other identifying information, and QR code content never leaves your browser, there is no personal information collected from any user, regardless of age, beyond the anonymous, non-identifying feedback signal described above.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes, for example by adding a new feature that requires sending information to a server, this page will be updated to describe it accurately before that feature goes live. Checking back here periodically is the way to stay current, since no separate notification list exists.
